Importers accelerate; exporters treat it as a late-stage zone, not a target.<\/li>\n      <li><strong>IF close &gt; 96.08<\/strong> <span class=\"mk mk-X\">X<\/span> \u2014 the range view is void. Shift to a bullish-USD\/INR posture; importers move first.<\/li>\n      <li><strong>IF two closes &lt; 95.50<\/strong> <span class=\"mk mk-S\">S<\/span> \u2014 the Monday breakout has failed. Path opens to 95.27\u201395.49 then 94.92. Exporters stop waiting for <span class=\"mk mk-R\">R<\/span>.<\/li>\n      <li><strong>Do not<\/strong> build the importer plan around a return to 95.20 or below. That level required a week of RBI-supported calm which is no longer in place.<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n\n    <div class=\"box w\">\n      <span class=\"l\">The distinction that matters most<\/span>\n      <p>Market direction and hedge urgency are two different decisions. A mildly INR-negative view is not an instruction to sell forward every receivable this morning. Exposure maturity, cash-flow certainty and the cost of being wrong come first; the market level decides <em>how<\/em> you execute, not <em>whether<\/em> you cover. Last week proved the point \u2014 the range call was right, yet anyone waiting on a published level transacted nothing.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<!-- ===== 02 WHY ===== -->\n<details class=\"sec\">\n  <summary>\n    <span class=\"sec-n\">02<\/span>\n    <h2 class=\"sec-t\">Why we have this view<\/h2>\n    <p class=\"sec-s\">Three evidence streams. They do not fully agree, and the disagreement is stated rather than smoothed over.<\/p>\n    <span class=\"hint\">Tap to expand<\/span>\n  <\/summary>\n  <div class=\"body\">\n\n    <h3>Market evidence \u2014 five facts<\/h3>\n    <ol>\n      <li><strong>The 95.50\u201395.70 ceiling broke on Monday.<\/strong> USD\/INR closed at 95.6000, above a band that had capped it for two weeks. The band now reads as support, carrying seven independent reference points including the 95.50 round number, the 21-day average and the Ichimoku cloud top.<\/li>\n      <li><strong>The Indian crude basket is at $91.60\/bbl<\/strong> \u2014 a $2.44 premium to Brent at $89.16 \u2014 against India&#8217;s ~85% import dependence. Brent is up 46.6% year-to-date.<\/li>\n      <li><strong>Strait of Hormuz shipping is running at 17% of the pre-conflict average<\/strong> (UKMTO), with a second front now open in the Red Sea after Houthi strikes shut Yemen&#8217;s Mocha port. Oman-mediated talks are stalled.<\/li>\n      <li><strong>India CPI at 4.45% (July)<\/strong> is a 19-month high but remains inside the RBI&#8217;s tolerance band. The RBI held the repo at 5.25% with a neutral stance; <strong>the next MPC is 5\u20137 October \u2014 outside this window.<\/strong><\/li>\n      <li><strong>Wholesale prices are running at 9.87% against consumer prices at 4.45%<\/strong> \u2014 a 5.42-point gap. Input costs are being absorbed in margins rather than passed through, and that absorption is finite.<\/li>\n    <\/ol>\n\n    <h3>Technical evidence \u2014 in plain terms<\/h3>\n    <ul>\n      <li>The pair has <strong>exited a two-week consolidation to the upside<\/strong> and closed above the Ichimoku cloud for the first time in this sequence. Old resistance has become support. This is a genuine structural improvement for USD\/INR, not noise.<\/li>\n      <li>But <strong>the trend components have not confirmed it.<\/strong> Directional pressure still reads negative underneath \u2014 DI\u2212 at 29.66 against DI+ at 21.71 \u2014 and the trend-following stop remains above price at 96.08.
